March 28, 2014 Nick Diorio (CSX Locomotive Engineer), Ken Sargeant presented an Operation LifeSaver Special Program to children from The First Methodist Church of Fort Lauderdale. Lillian Perricone (Reference Librarian/Rare Book Cataloger) took the children on a Florida East Coast Railway Gallery Tour of the Bienes Museum. Operation LifeSaver Materials such as Activity Books, Pens, Pencils, Book Marks, Key Chains, Brochure "Myths or Realities? Pedestrian Safety Around Track & Trains", were given to all our guests.

"All Aboard Florida - The Future of Train Travel in Florida"
Lillian Perricone of the Main Library introduced our guest speaker Executive Vice President Jose Gonzalez from "All Aboard Florida". Jose presented updates and an overview concerning the express intercity passenger train between Central and South Florida. Ken & Saralyn Sargeant, Martin & Barbara Miller represented the Florida Citrus Model Train Society at the presentation.

March 18, 2014 Ken & Saralyn Sargeant, John & Cathy Feeney, Barbara Miller, Lillian Perricone all attended the Special Pragram at the Main Library. Dreamers & Schemers - The Balancing Act: Entrepreneurialism, Tourism & Preservation featuring Henry Flagler, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Napoleon Bonaparte Broward. Gene D'Alessandro played Henry Morrison Flagler, Jack Halloway played Napoleon Bonaporte Broward and Jean Steinshouer played Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Songwriter/Musician Sam Pacetti played guitar and sang during the presentation. Director Powers Tricomi did an excellent job making this performance informative and enriching to the lives of the audience.

Presentation from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM in the Main Library downtown Fort Lauderdale. Tom Rottenberg and Bill Tessar assisted with an operating "G" Scale Train & distributing Operation
