Wednesday, December 13, 2017 "The Polar Express Day" at the Southwest Regional Library in Pembroke Pines. A total of 1,177 visitors showed up between 12:00 Noon and 8:00 PM. Florida Citrus Model Train Society members assisting during the day were: Ken Sargeant, Saralyn Sargeant, Bill Tessar, Joe Pisciotti, Don Kneuer, Dan McMurtrie, Tom Rottenberg, Lenny Victor, Bill Nielsen, John Michna, Joe Parisini, Nick Mekich, Kieve Eurlich, Bob Balog, Bill Nielsen, Rick Compton, Luis Figueroa, Joe Motes (18) The children were wearing their PJ's and met with a Library Staff Member who read them the "Polar Express Story". The children met Santa, had "Hot Chocolate", given a gift from the Library, then went into the multi-purpose room to see in HD "The Polar Express" movie, and finally saw the "Polar Express" model train operating on the "O" Scale Layout. Fun was had by all. The feedback from the parents was "FANTASTIC". We set a new record. We had 408 visitors during the day session and 769 guests during the evening session for a total of 1,177.

Tuesday, October 17, 2017 (L-R) William "Bill" Lumley, Steven Kneuer, Don Kneuer visited the home of William (Bill) Lumley, Skyline Drive in Delray Beach, Florida. In his backyard is an "Air Strip" with two "Air Craft Hangers" loaded with "Planes & Trains". Bill retired from "Delta Airlines" where he was a "Captain" Flying L-1011 Aircraft. Bill was a "Stunt Pilot" and competed in "Air Shows" all over the "Country". Bill must have at least ten different flying machines which included a "Helicopter", several "Gliders" and "Single and Double Engined Aircraft". Bill has several "Remote Controlled Model Aircraft" housed in a "Large Workshop". Inside his home Bill has a "Very, Very Large Model Train Collection". Ken Sargeant was present on this "Fantastic Outing".
