mission statement

The Florida Citrus Model Train Society has several modular layouts and hosts model train displays for your viewing pleasure. The FCMTS has an emphasis on the entire family especially the younger children. Our goal is to share the traditions and fun of model trains and to provide a reasonable venue for children of all ages to experience the history, traditions and joys of toy trains. We want to develop interest in our hobby and make it available to the general public.

Over 150,000 vehicles pass in front of the school every day. The Florida Citrus Model Train Society have a "Toy Train Show & Swap Meet" there on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Don't miss the "Grand Opening Ceremony" at 10:00 AM. Florida Citrus Model Train Society Locomotive Presetation

November 8, 2018 (L-R) Peter Colussy, Ken Sargeant. Peter Colussy Built a Post War Marx Commodore Vanderbilt Steam Locomotive with a Wedge Tender built between 1945 - 48. Orginally built as a mechanical wind up engine which has been converted to an electric double reduction gear motor for this project. Peter presented the Marx Steam Locomotive to Ken Sargeant today at the Westfield Broward Mall. See "DISPLAYS 2"

Oh Lord, now that I have flagged Thee, lift up my feet from the rough road of life and plant them safely on the deck of the train of salvation. Let me use the safety on the deck of the train of salvation. Let me see the safety lamp know as prudence, join all the couplings in the train with the strong arm of love, let my hand lamp be the Bible. Heavenly Father, keep all the switches closed that lead off to the sidings, especially those with the blind end. Oh Lord, if it be Thy pleasure, have semaphore block along the line show the white light of hope that I may make the run of life without stopping. And Lord, give us the Ten Commandments for a schedule and when I've finish on scheduled time and pulled into the dark station of death, may the superintendent of the Universe say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, come and sign the payroll and receive the check of eternal hapiness."
