The Florida Citrus Model Train Society has been operating since 1999. We have been displaying Model Trains at Libraries, Museums and Schools in Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami Dade Counties the past 19 years. The Society has "G", "O", "HO", and "N" Scale Layouts. We offer Operation LifeSaver Train Safety, and Boy Scout Programming. We need a Permanent Location to Display our Model Trains. If you are interested or have a facility we could use. The Florida Citrus Model Train Society has several modular layouts and hosts model train displays for your viewing pleasure. The FCMTS has an emphasis on the entire family especially the younger children. Our goal is to share the traditions and fun of model trains and to provide a reasonable venue for children of all ages to experience the history, traditions and joys of toy trains. We want to develop interest in our hobby and make it available to the general public.

Monday, January 8. 2018 This picture was taken outside in the "Main Lobby"  looking into the "Meeting Room" of the Southwest Regional Library. We removed all of the Layouts and Displays. In the 30 days we were present we had 10, 690 visitors an average of 356.33 per day. Forty three Florida Citrus Model Train Society members attended 452 different times and provided 1,808 Community Servic Hours to the Library. Oh Lord, now that I have flagged Thee, lift up my feet from the rough road of life and plant them safely on the deck of the train of salvation. Let me use the safety on the deck of the train of salvation. Let me see the safety lamp know as prudence, join all the couplings in the train with the strong arm of love, let my hand lamp be the Bible. Heavenly Father, keep all the switches closed that lead off to the sidings, especially those with the blind end. Oh Lord, if it be Thy pleasure, have semaphore block along the line show the white light of hope that I may make the run of life without stopping. And Lord, give us the Ten Commandments for a schedule and when I've finish on scheduled time and pulled into the dark station of death, may the superintendent of the Universe say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, come and sign the payroll and receive the check of eternal hapiness."

The Museum Of Discovery & Science, the AUTONATION IMAX THEATER and the Florida Citrus Model Train Society presented a "G" Scale Model Train Layout in the Main Lobby and an "O" Scale Layout on the second floor at the Museum from August 24, 2013 to February 24, 2014.
